Leg Rounding Jig (2.5")
This jig makes simple work of creating a clean rounded end to your legs.
Required Equipment: Band Saw with 1/4” blade (NOTE: 3/16” blade will work but create an asymmetrical arc, and blades larger than 1/4” won’t work), 2.5” wide leg design
Setup process (Refer to numbered photos):
What’s included: Jig top, Jig bottom, stop block, 1/4” peg, 5/16” peg and 3/8” peg
Place jig bottom on bandsaw table, aligning line with front of blade
remove double stick tape from stop block, and stick to jig bottom where it overhangs bandsaw table. using a clamp, screw block into place using included screws
Jig top is pre-drilled for 1/4” peg. If your leg bolt size is larger, drill out hole to proper size, and install corresponding peg with tapered end sticking out.
Install top part of jig onto bottom part of jig
NOTE: top of jig has a blade alignment line as well. This is to help you confirm that your bandsaw blade is still aligned, and has not moved on the bandsaw wheels.
